Finally after long waiting the container with out things from the Netherlands arrived. The Land Rover was still in Durban and could be picked up there later.

Unfortunally Candy, the dog who came with the property, was fighting with a bush pig. The wound was serious enough to go to the vet at Mtubatuba. She got some stitches and antibiotics and is doing fine now.

A piece of the fence in the front was missing and the wooden gate-walls were eaten by termites. John Raw from Flamingo Fencing did a good job and renewed it.

We bought a chainsaw and a bush cutter and started making roads on the property.

The drilling took more effort than expected. Finally at 90M deep we found water and plenty of it.

We found out the borehole was collapsed. Water was brought by trucks. We decided to drill a new borehole. Norman Robbins helped us to find the right place to drill with his dowsing rod.

The first thing we did after we took over was cleaning up the property. 5 truck loads of rubbish were removed.

We picked up our Land Rover 101FC at Johannesburg and went with a detour through The Kruger Park to the Bushbaby Lodge. We stayed till the end of April at the campsite before we could take over the place.

At the end of March 2007 we sold our house in Breda, The Netherlands and moved to Hluhluwe, South Africa.
